We are proud to be a part of the Servant Leadership 2015 East Conference
in Orlando on November 9-10, 2015
We are proud to inform you that John A. Haley, Senior Consultant for Baron Center, Inc. will be presenting “Workplace Violence 101: From Prevention to Intervention Powered by Servant Leadership“ on Monday November 9th.
Potential violence in the workplace has become a significant concern for many organizations – whether it’s an issue with a disgruntled or terminated employee or an incident with an upset and threatening customer, vendor, or spouse. The impact of a workplace violence incident can be costly, as the financial losses associated with potential litigation, lost productivity, decreased business revenue, and diminished image in the eyes of employees and customers can be devastating to an organization’s bottom line.
Presented specifically through a servant leadership lens, the information presented in this session will enable you to better understand the dynamics related to identifying and preventing situations where potential violence is a concern. The workshop will be interactive and include practical examples and case study discussion throughout.
You will learn:
- Types of violence that can affect the workplace.
- Individual and organizational factors that can be predictive of violence.
- Practical and “hands-on” strategies for dealing with angry and aggressive employees and members of the public.
- Options for effective and safe early intervention and prevention within the context of a culture built on servant leadership behaviors.
